Like many people, the long weekend over Easter is seen as a time to break free and get out into the great outdoors. Last year we found this fabulous farm with an even more fabulous camping spot by a little creek. It had everything we were looking for. Absolutely nothing. Nothing that is but air, and nature. Just what we needed far from the noise and hustle of the big city. So this year we trotted off again to God's country in the Central West of NSW.
The scenery on the way out there is nothing short of spectacular and the sky speaks a thousand words. I could hear God speaking to me. Showing me his wonder.
I mean just look at this tree. All there on its lonesome. Isn't it the most glorious sight.?
The clouds danced at us as we neared closer, almost reeling us in. I was all click click click with the camera. I don't think I ever stop to look at the sky in the city. Out there I noticed it all day long.
We perched our tent under the trees and set about making camp. I think we had enough food to feed a small army and the boys set about finding things to blow up as boys do.....hmmm
There is something utterly amazing about being on a farm in the open. It is breathtaking. The cool mornings and the hot days, the frost on the ground and the campfire crackling. There is nothing better.
Who is this boy in the motorbike helmet?! That would be Jonah. He rode the bike all weekend. Boys.
This little possum couldn't keep off the little bike either. She was FAST.
I can hear the country calling to me again.......it won't be long until I'm back.
Did you have a good easter?
Did you go camping?
Do you love the countryside?
