A good weekend

I hope everyone has had a great weekend. Lately I feel like I am living on the edge, not really living, but this weekend gave me a little time to reflect on where I want to be.

Friday consisted of a run along Cronulla with my friend and a little dip in the ocean. Invigorating stuff that was. Refreshing. Time to pause.

That night we were invited to my sister and brother inlaws for dinner. Hubby and I sat here amongst their renovating and I drank a much needed pina colada. I could have gone the whole cask it was that good, but I held restraint! It was a great night of laughing and hanging together. Don't you love family?

Saturday morning saw me making this huge batch of pancakes. I had been to help my friends new running group and added another 5km to my week and I was exhausted. Pancakes it was and it heralded in the weekend for us...

Saturday morning I had one child at home and I used this time to tackle the disaster of a house. It was so clean and fresh. It made me smile. Even if it only lasted a day....

Saturday night saw me on the couch playing with a new crochet necklace pattern. I think I'm in love with it.

Sunday was big. Another 9.5km run tallied up the running week to about 40km and I was exhausted. I did the grocery shop which saw me create this delight. Lamb and sweet potato pizza with mushroom, rocket, olives and tatziki. It was REALLY good.

Come evening the head was throbbing and so was the body. Top that off with a night of no sleep from anxiety and aches and Im undone. Today I declared it a sick day and have spent it on the couch trying to regain my thoughts.

Let's hope the new week will see more lovely moments......
