Chocolate and Coconut Biscotti

I love a good biscotti with my cuppa and this recipe is no exception. I made it up with the guide of a simple biscotti recipe. It worked well. You will love its simplicty, Its crunch and its chocolate come coconut flavour....just so yummy!


1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup caster sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cocoa
1 cup coconut
the zest of one orange
1/4 cup almond meal
3 eggs, lightly wisked


In a dry bowl add the flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa, coconut and orange zest. Mix together.

Add the almond meal and mix, then add the eggs and mix until the dough comes together

turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead slightly, divide and form two long logs like this

Bake in a 180deg oven for about 30 minutes. Leave on tray to cool.
Reduce the oven temp to about 140 deg and then slice the logs into thin slices. place them face up on trays and bake for another 20 minutes, turning half way through until crisp. Leave to cool

Enjoy with a cuppa!
