Brownies from heaven

its time for some sweet inspiration.....there is nothing better than a great brownie recipe. So I thought that I would share this one.....its a donna hay favourite...standby brownies.
The reason they are so great is that they are simply that....standby...simple...brownies....
they use the ingredients that are in your fridge/pantry and guess what....
there is NO chocolate in these brownies! (Does that mean that I can have two??!).

Nope. these brownies have cocoa only and are so divine and moist you will be drooling for more!
The other great thing is that they can all be done in one pot! so less washing up for me!!

so here it is...Donna Hay's Standby Brownies from her book "fast, fresh, simple"

Ingredients

150g butter
1/4 cups caster sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
1tsp vanilla
3 eggs
1/2 cup plain flour

Method

Preheat oven to 160 deg. Place butter, sugar and cocoa in saucepan stirring over low heat until butter melts. Take off the heat and whisk in the eggs and the vanilla. whisk well. Sift in the flour and whisk to combine. Spoon mixture into lined 20cm square cake tin and bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool in tin and dust with icing sugar if desired. Cut when cool into squares. Makes 16

enjoy gorgeous people!

  3. Just letting you know that you have 1/4 of caster sugar and its actually 1 and 1/4 i think.. I just went to make them and thought 1/4 was very little sugar for a brownie recipe.
